The Illinois Valley Amateur Radio Club meets on the second Tuesday of each month. The meetings are held at the Wild River Pizza Restaurant located at 249 North Redwood Hwy in Cave Junction, OR. Meetings begin at 6:00PM, but many members arrive earlier to enjoy Wild River Pizza’s menu selections.
We are just starting up, so we will be focusing on basic radio operations including programming and operating procedures. As a group of and for the community, we are providing technical assistance (by donation only) to club members.
A main part of our technical assistance are home site visits to get operators set up and able to make contact on both the repeater, as well as simplex. There is follow-up with a parts list (antennas, etc), assisting members in obtaining their parts., and assistance with technical difficulties, as they occur.
