IVARC members have been meeting weekly at the Communication Hub to practice using the radios and equipment. We are setting up and learning the WinLink system for our 2-meter repeater. This will be a shared frequency with Salem, via internet using WinLink. We have also been making contacts with Parks on the Air (POTA) and Towers on the Air (TOTA). Whether you are a HAM or not, all IVARC radio operators are encouraged and welcome to attend. By merely observing you can learn a lot about radio operations and techniques. You are also encouraged to advance your expertise and get a HAM license. While still challenging, it becomes less difficult with all the practice websites on the internet. GOT COMMS?!!
