Ham Radio Field Day - last weekend in June

Three groups (Cascade Amateur Radio Enthusiasts, Rogue Valley ARC, and Jackson Co. ARES) will combine forces for Field Day this year, setting up at the VA Hospital ball field in White City. Field Day is 24 hours off grid, making as many contacts as possible on all bands and modes. Visitors are welcome and guest operators are needed. Even if you have no experience in HF, come by for an hour or so, as we have a special station to get you on the air, license or not (supervised). We will also be looking for VHF / UHF contacts during the event period (11 AM Sat. to 11 AM Sun.) We will be on 146.58 simplex (no repeaters during the event) on the hour for about 10 min. each hour. 2 meter SSB on 144.2 will be on the half hour, again for about 10 min. each hour. UHF contacts after VHF connection may give us another point, so if you have a dual band radio, set it up for 446.075 simplex. The field day rules can be found on the ARRL.org website. See you on the air!
