We will have a booth at the Barter Faire on Saturday, September 26 from 3-8pm. 2-way radios, free trainings and programming of Baofeng radios will be available.
We will also be raffling off a Baofeng Radio to a future radio operator, so bring a buck and your luck. Hope to see you there!
We have three nets every Monday @ 7pm starting on our IVARC GMRS repeater 462.600 Mhz PL 141.3 on GMRS channel 17, then we move to Simplex or radio to radio on FRS3 and MURS3 for the Channel 3 project, allowing unlicensed operators to participate. Since it is off the repeater and on Simplex, it relies on relays from other operators,
allowing people to find out who they can hear and contact during an emergency and who they will need to relay information through. It’s great practice and anyone can join the Channel 3 project.
IVARC meetings are every other month on the 2nd Tuesday 5pm @ Taylor’s in Cave Junction. Our next meeting will be 5pm Tuesday October 13th at Taylor’s. We provide radios for a donation of $40, which have the IVARC programming installed that include 100* local channels including all Simplex, fire, Sheriff, and more.
